We are a family business, not a data company. This page says plainly what we collect, why, and how to make us stop.
Who is responsible

Measurement, and only with your consent
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking, both loaded through Google Tag Manager. Nothing is set and nothing is measured until you press Accept in the cookie banner. Until then every storage permission stays denied, which is how the site loads by default.
If you accept, Google may set cookies in order to count visits, see which pages are read, and tell whether an advertisement led to an enquiry. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, none of that happens.
You can change your mind at any time: reopen the cookie settings and choose again. Clearing your browser data also clears the choice, and the banner will ask you once more.
The enquiry and transfer forms
When you send us an enquiry or ask for a transfer price, we store what you typed — your name, your contact details, the dates and the car or route you asked about — so that we can answer the request and keep a record of what was agreed. We use it for that, and for nothing else. We do not sell it and we do not send marketing to people who did not ask for it.
The forms open WhatsApp or your email programme so the message leaves from your own account. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and your conversation there is subject to its own terms.
Bookings
Bookings are not completed on this website. The Book now buttons take you to our reservation system at marevarentalkos.gocars.gr, which is run for us by GoCars and has its own terms and its own privacy notice. The details you enter there are handled under that notice.
How long we keep things
Enquiries are kept as long as they are useful for answering you and for the rental that may follow, and no longer. Rental and invoicing records are kept for as long as Greek tax law requires. Analytics data is retained by Google under its own retention settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete what we no longer need to keep;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- withdraw a consent you gave, including for measurement.
Email marevarentalkos@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
